Our dog sledding team is comprised of six to eight Siberian Huskies. Our dogs come from reputable Siberian Husky breeders. Occasionally, we also have a few visiting sled dogs. For more information on all of our sled dogs, visit our dogs page.

Fall is our favorite season. When Fall is upon us, it is time once again to run dogs. October 2025, marks our nineteenth season of dogsledding at Maryland Sled Dog Adventures LLC.

This past Spring, Fort Illio's Reese's Pieces made her first runs with the team. She will be joining us as a full time team member this Fall.

Now Taking Reservations for 2024-25

Our wait list email has gone out and we are now taking reservations for our 2024-25 dog sledding season on a first come, first serve basis.

Can Am 30. Catherine and the Maryland Sled Dog Adventures LLC team hope to again tackle the Can Am 30 in Fort Kent, Maine February 28, 2026. Stay Tuned!

December 20, 2025. Dog Sledding for Individual Girl Scouts. Cost is $120 per scout and must be paid in full to reserve your slot. Payment by Zelle or Venmo only. Limited to 20 girls. This is the ONLY date we offer for individual Girl Scouts.

We are a small micro mushing kennel of Siberian Huskies. Maryland Sled Dog Adventures LLC is Maryland's only dog sled touring operation. Maryland Sled Dog Adventures LLC is fully insured and is a Nature Tourism provider with the State of Maryland.

Maryland Sled Dog Adventures LLC specializes in dog sled rides and patch programs in dog sledding for Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, and is an approved high adventure vendor and program partner with several local Girl Scout and Boy Scout councils, including Girl Scouts Nation's Capital. Maryland Sled Dog Adventures LLC also does special events involving dog sledding including delivering Santa Claus, children's birthday parties and classroom visits to schools. Our classroom programs on dog sledding are particularly appropriate for classes reading books by Robert Blake including Akiak and Togo, Gary Paulson's Dog Team, Jack London's classic Call of the Wild, and classes studying Iditarod. So I'm sure by now you are thinking: This is Maryland, what if there is no snow? Temperatures permitting, even when there is no snow, we can still go. When not running on snow, which is much of the time here in Maryland, we dog sled using our three wheel and four wheel dog sled rigs (click for picture). In mushing, a wheeled cart used for dog sledding when there is no snow is called a “rig” or a “gig.” Our larger rig allows us to carry a passenger seated on dog sledding tours and dog sled rides.
